The striking feature of this series is the new array of the air diffusors for the filter modules. The specially developed membrane tube diffusors are now arranged not imposing a resistance in the flow of water and air. With this innovation, the necessary amount of air could be lowered by almost 40%!
Air flow per m² membrane area for the MB5 :
0,28 Nm³/m²h!
The filtrate performance in waste water is:
30 l/m²h, only with 2 chemical cleanings per year.
The result: less membrane area and lower invest.
For new plants:

With the modular system an optimal solution can be found for all fields of application. MB2 series filter frames offer the ideal solution for tanks with limited height, as for example in containerized plants or in treatment plants onboard ships. Even at a water level as little as 1.5 m, reliable operation is ensured.
For large sewage treatment systems, the MB5 series should be used. Due to the 5 layer array the air creating the cross flow is used extremely efficiently.
Replacement for plate filters of other manufacturers

With the MicroClear system, all known types of plate filters can be replaced – with half the requirement for space. The packing density is 114 m²/m³.
All MicroClear filter frames are designed according to a modular principle. Thus they always remain flexibly configurable and extensible. Installation of the filter is accomplished effortlessly even under difficult conditions. Once the front cover has been removed, the filters are positioned as if they were on bookshelves.
The individual segments are like pearls in a string, though here the "string" is represented by robust stainless steel racks. This means that no additional lift equipment is necessary for the installation or removal of a single filter frame. Simply hang it by the lift eyes and lift it out!
The aeration system consists of proven pipe air-release valves with a reinforced EPDM membrane. The aperture size is designed to give the rising air bubbles an optimal cleaning effect on the membrane. Chemical cleansing, as with perforated tubes, is not necessary. These tubes can simply be pulled out of the filter frame from the side for inspection, without having to remove the filter. Since air bubbles are mid-sized, oxygen for the biological reaction is provided in a highly efficient manner. The energy expended for filter plate cleaning therefore fulfils yet another function and can be deducted from the energy overhead to aerate the biological reaction.
All MicroClear filter frames can be installed in an internal arrangement (direct in an activating basin) or in an external arrangement (in a separate membrane tank).
The stainless steel frame is built exclusively of high-quality steel which complies to the Ger-man standard 1.4571 (316 Ti). This virtually eliminates corrosion.
